The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international has featured prominently on the shortlist of the Spanish club's sporting direction, with media reports in the Netherlands indicating that an agreement between the two sides is already considered nearly finalized.
According to reports from Spanish broadcaster COPE in Seville, club leaders at the Estadio Benito Villamarín in Heliópolis are evaluating several potential options for the position. While Parrott remains well positioned among the targeted candidates, Betis management has not yet concluded a definitive agreement for his transfer.
Prolific season in Dutch football
Parrott is coming off the most productive campaign of his career after making a major impact in Dutch football. During the previous season with AZ Alkmaar, the forward registered 31 goals and 12 assists across 47 appearances in all competitions.
His scoring form was particularly key in European competition, where he scored 10 goals in 15 matches during Alkmaar's campaign in the UEFA Conference League. Those performances established him as one of the standout attacking players in the Dutch Eredivisie.
