Two bodyguards were shot and admitted to the hospital in serious condition following a dispute outside a restaurant in Zhukovka, an affluent village in the Moscow region.
The victims were identified as 28-year-old Vladislav and 38-year-old Alexander, according to initial reports from Russian media outlets covering the incident.
Medical staff diagnosed Vladislav with a bullet wound to his neck. Alexander sustained a bullet wound to the parietal region of his head, located near the top of the skull. Both men remain hospitalized in grave condition.
Dispute at Marani Restaurant
The shooting took place in the parking area of the Marani restaurant in Zhukovka. Russian Telegram channel Mash reported that Vladislav and Alexander got into an argument with a group of opponents on the restaurant grounds. During the confrontation, the rivals drew weapons and fired at the two security workers.
Investigators stated that preliminary evidence points to the use of traumatic weapons. In Russia, traumatic weapons refer to handguns designed to fire rubber bullets or non-lethal projectiles, though they can still cause critical injuries when fired at close range.
Following the attack, the shooters escaped from the restaurant parking lot in vehicles. Police officers in the Moscow region are conducting a search operation to trace the fleeing vehicles and identify the suspects involved in the incident.
Security Personnel Identified
Further details released by news outlet Baza revealed that both victims work in private security as bodyguards. Alexander is originally a native of Kursk, a regional center in western Russia. He is employed by Scorpion Group, a specialized private security company that handles personal protection services as well as the secure transport and escort of high-value cargo.
Zhukovka, situated in the Odintsovo district west of Moscow, is well known as an exclusive enclave for wealthy figures, featuring high-end restaurants, commercial complexes and heavily guarded suburban estates.
