Xiaomi has officially begun teasing its upcoming flagship Xiaomi 18 Pro series, confirming the phones will be unveiled in China by the end of September. The company has not yet disclosed an exact presentation date.
The teaser image shows the back panel of the device, featuring a secondary display and a triple main camera setup. Xiaomi is a Chinese consumer electronics company known for its smartphones, home appliances and wearable devices, and it competes with brands such as Samsung and Apple in the global smartphone market.
Secondary Display Gets an Upgrade
The rear secondary screen is not a new idea for Xiaomi. It first appeared on the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. For the new generation, Xiaomi says it plans to make the feature more functional, though the company has not specified exactly what new capabilities it will add.
According to earlier leaks, the Xiaomi 18 Pro could come with a larger rear display than its predecessor. Both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max have already passed certification in China, with documents indicating support for 100-watt wired charging.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Expected
The new phones are expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, a processor from Qualcomm that has not yet been officially announced. Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips power a large share of Android flagship devices worldwide, and a new top-tier chipset typically brings improved processing and graphics performance over the previous generation.
Xiaomi has said it will reveal more official details about the Xiaomi 18 Pro series on September 16.
Part of a Wider Xiaomi Lineup Push
The teaser comes shortly after Xiaomi showed its Xiaomi 18 Fold at IFA 2026, a trade show held in Berlin. That foldable device drew attention for its unusual form factor, red housing and Xiaomi's own Xring O3 chipset.
Xiaomi has also recently presented a smartphone that it says can run for up to three days on a single charge thanks to a 10,000mAh battery.
With the full Xiaomi 18 Pro reveal expected in China by the end of September, more details, including the exact launch date, are set to follow the company's promised September 16 announcement.
