A city bus driver in Aigio died after losing consciousness at the wheel on Vasileos Konstantinou Street and crashing into parked vehicles and a tree.
The vehicle veered off course when the driver collapsed under unclear circumstances. It hit parked cars along the road before coming to a stop against a tree.
Passersby and passing drivers rushed to notify the traffic police and an ambulance. Emergency responders from EKAB arrived quickly at the scene and took the driver to Aigio Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash caused material damage, but authorities reported no other injuries from the incident.
