Former Spanish politician Albert Rivera and Carla Cotterli are marking three years together this August, maintaining a relationship built on discretion and a deliberate distance from media attention.
The couple went public in the summer of 2023. Rivera, whose previous relationship with singer Malu produced his daughter Lucia, said at the time on the Telecinco programme 100% Unicos that he was beginning something new with someone but wanted to take it calmly, step by step.
Cotterli, 37, is a public relations and events specialist with more than eight years of experience in communications and marketing within the fashion industry. She has worked for companies including Lancome, Groupe LVMH, Conde Nast/Vogue, Heineken and Grupo Tendam. She also holds a recreational boat skipper's licence.
She runs her own fashion label, The Cotton Brand, and an events and communications agency called Cotterli.
Outside work, Cotterli travels to Ibiza regularly with Rivera and is known for her love of animals, including her dachshund, Nous. According to the magazine Semana, she enjoys outings with friends, nature, animals and beach landscapes.
