Patryk Klimala Scores as Seoul FC Win 7-0 Against Anyang

Polish forward Patryk Klimala scored one goal and provided an assist as league leaders Seoul FC routed FC Anyang 7-0 in their away match on Saturday afternoon. The victory extended Seoul FC's advantage at the top of the table to 13 points after 24 rounds of matches.

Visiting side Seoul FC took complete control of the contest before half-time, building a 5-0 lead against their mid-table opponents. Klimala played a central role in the late stages of the first half, converting a pass from Brazilian teammate Anderson Oliveira in the 35th minute before returning the favor to assist Oliveira nine minutes later.

Seoul FC continued their attack after the interval, scoring twice more on Anyang's home pitch to complete the seven-goal victory. The result marks Klimala's ninth league goal and second assist in 21 appearances during the current campaign.

Player form and career background

Klimala has enjoyed a strong run of form since mid-July, recording four goals and two assists over recent weeks. His resurgence follows an earlier productive spell between late March and late April, when he scored five league goals in under a month before being slowed by a minor injury.

The striker moved to South Korea in June 2025 following an unsuccessful spell with Polish club Śląsk Wrocław. His initial half-season in Asia was disrupted by a long-term injury that limited him to just four league appearances during the 2025 campaign.

Seoul FC are based in the South Korean capital of Seoul and compete in K League 1, the top division of South Korean football. Unlike many European competitions, the South Korean domestic league operates on a spring-to-autumn calendar system.

Title chase and upcoming fixture

Seoul FC now hold a 13-point lead over second-placed Ulsan HD as they pursue their first domestic championship title in 10 years. With 14 rounds remaining in the season, the club remain firmly on course for the title.

The league leaders return to action on Tuesday, August 25, when they host Bucheon FC at home. The match is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. Polish time.
