Altice Dominicana Honors 52 Students for Academic Merit

Altice Dominicana has honored 52 children of its employees for outstanding academic achievement during a ceremony held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The recognition was presented as part of the telecommunications company's annual Academic Excellence program, which highlights students who achieve top marks and display strong scholastic dedication.

Altice Dominicana, a major telecommunications operator in the Caribbean nation providing mobile, internet, and television services, established the initiative to promote education as a core value for building a better future and supporting employee family development.

During the ceremony, Altice Dominicana Chief Executive Officer Danilo Ginebra emphasized the essential role families play in guiding young students.

Ginebra said the company was recognizing the effort and dedication of the children and young people while also celebrating the mothers, fathers, and guardians who create daily conditions for them to focus on learning, growing, and pursuing their dreams. He added that education transforms lives and stated that Altice takes great pride in accompanying families on that journey.

Three stages of academic recognition

The awards were distributed across three categories structured to represent distinct phases of educational development. The categories included Our Little Dreamer for primary school pupils, Knowledge Explorer for secondary school students, and Conqueror of Dreams for high school graduates transitioning to university.

Students in every category received technology prizes designed to assist and strengthen their learning process. Altice also presented the Academic Excellence Scholarship to the top student in each category to honor exceptional commitment and scholastic performance.

Scholarship recipient shares progress

A central moment of the ceremony featured a presentation by Kamila Holguin Pineda, a winner of the 2025 Academic Excellence Scholarship who returned to the stage one year later to share her experience with the new honorees.

Holguin Pineda is currently studying marketing with a concentration in digital strategy at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra, a private Catholic university headquartered in Santiago de los Caballeros with a major campus in Santo Domingo. She is also completing an internship at Altice, illustrating how the scholarship recognition provides momentum for personal and professional growth.

Altice Dominicana noted that through programs like Academic Excellence, the organization aims to continue fostering a culture that rewards merit, encourages learning, and strengthens the overall well-being of its employees' families.
