American artificial intelligence leader Anthropic is preparing for a landmark Wall Street initial public offering that could value the company at nearly $2 trillion.
The company behind the Claude artificial intelligence model could set a historical record with its market debut. Projections indicate Anthropic may surpass the previous stock market listing record established by SpaceX.
Elon Musk's aerospace company SpaceX entered Wall Street on June 12 with an introduction price valuation of $1.77 trillion. Thomas Schnell, an economic journalist for French news channel LCI, estimated that Anthropic's stock market debut, scheduled to take place between September and October, would be sensational.
Funding and Valuation Growth
Interest and enthusiasm surrounding artificial intelligence have grown continuously in recent years, pushing the valuations of top AI companies toward those of major technology giants. On May 28, Anthropic announced a massive funding round secured predominantly from California investors, raising more than $65 billion.
That capital injection propelled Anthropic's corporate valuation to $1 trillion. An initial public offering allows private companies to sell shares to the public on stock exchanges such as Wall Street, enabling them to expand operations and raise public investment.
Anthropic has established itself as a global leader in the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence sector since AI models first entered the market. The San Francisco-based developer has built its reputation on Claude, a family of large language models designed to process complex text and reasoning tasks.
Financial Performance and Revenue Surge
The American technology firm is undergoing rapid hypergrowth as demand for commercial AI applications accelerates. Anthropic's provisional revenue for 2026 has crossed $100 billion.
That projected total represents an elevenfold increase over the company's financial performance in 2025, when Anthropic generated $9 billion in revenue. With financial momentum building, market observers are watching for the firm's anticipated autumn listing, which could mark the largest initial public offering in stock market history.
