Heat Latin Music Awards 2026 to take place in Mexico

The Heat Latin Music Awards 2026 will take place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, marking the first time the ceremony is held in Mexican territory.

Organisers confirmed the main award ceremony is scheduled for November 5 at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center. Festivities will begin on October 31 in the Pacific coast state of Jalisco.

The event will be streamed live across the region on LosHeat.tv. Mexican television presenter Karime Pindter will co-host the broadcast alongside five other Latin American figures, including Uruguayan media personality Ignacio Baladan and his wife, Colombian content creator La Segura.

The expansion into Mexico follows more than a decade of Heat Latin Music Awards events across Latin America. Organisers formally announced the new venue in Miami during a gathering of international media, content creators, and music industry representatives.

Diana Montes, general director of the Heat Latin Music Awards, said the choice of Jalisco reflects the organisation's commitment to Latin American culture. She said Jalisco was not lending the event a venue, but offering a home for artists to gather around music, adding that after ten years of history, organisers had found partners capable of shaping the show's vision.

Peruvian presenters and nomination process

La ceremonia, que promete ser un evento destacado de la industria musical, podrá seguirse en vivo a través de LosHeat.tv, con la conducción de Karime Pindter y otros presentadores de Latinoamérica.

Peru will have a prominent presence throughout the schedule. Tony Javier, programming director for Peruvian radio stations Radiomar and Moda, has joined the organisation to lend his radio industry expertise to the event.

Javier serves as an honorary committee member and is responsible for choosing this year's official nominees. He said radio broadcasters were working to support an event that has grown significantly while boosting the careers of Latin artists. He added that combining digital platforms with radio transmissions provides a bridge for musicians across the region.

Organisers noted that this year's edition introduces key updates to the nomination and voting processes. The previous edition of the awards took place in Colombia in 2025.

Artist lineup and fan voting

The Peruvian delegation will feature figureheads from music and entertainment. Cumbia group Grupo 5 and television personality Shirley Arica are among those named to attend, though both are awaiting final confirmation. Fan clubs for both acts have already launched online campaigns to support their appearances.

Latin music fans will be able to vote for their favourite nominees across multiple digital platforms and channels. Organisers plan to release the full list of official nominees in the coming days.
