Konstantelias scores twice to steer PAOK past Dynamo Kyiv

Giannis Konstantelias scored two goals within three minutes to put PAOK firmly in control against Dynamo Kyiv in the second leg of their Europa League second qualifying round tie on Thursday.

The 23-year-old struck in first-half stoppage time and again at the 48th minute at the Toumba, PAOK's home ground in Thessaloniki, where the crowd greeted his contribution with excitement.

The goals extended PAOK's aggregate advantage over the Ukrainian club, who had already been beaten 3-2 in the first leg on July 23.

That opening match was played in Poland, where Dynamo Kyiv currently hosts its fixtures. Even there, Konstantelias had drawn attention with his footwork and dribbling, leaving the Ukrainian side stunned, according to the report.

His first goal on Thursday was described as a composed, precise finish into the side of the net. The second was called a genuine work of art, an intricate slalom run through the Kyiv defense that observers said would circulate widely online in the hours that followed.

Konstantelias has been in exceptional form for PAOK at the start of the new season. His contributions across both legs helped secure the Greek club's passage to the next round of Europa League qualifying.
