Greek singer Kostas Triantafyllidis will bring his musical show "Ena Oneiro, Mia Istoria" (A Dream, A Story) to the Veakio Theatre in Piraeus on Wednesday, September 23.
The performance follows successful winter shows at the Parnassos Literary Society and a summer appearance at the Papagou Garden Theatre. Triantafyllidis will present a voice and piano recital alongside pianist Neoklis Neofytidis, who also serves as artistic director of the program.
Songs and composers featured
The show is divided into short musical sections, each telling its own story through works by composers including Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarhakos, Christos Leontis, Apostolos Kaldaras, Manos Loizos, Thanos Mikroutsikos and Yiannis Spanos. Songs include "Erotiko," "Louzetai i Agapi Mou," "Antilaloune ta Vouna," "Exo Fysaei kai Vrehei," "Mia Fora ki Enan Kairo" and "Nyhta."
Two songs give the show its title: "Oniro Apatilo," in Minos Matsas's arrangement for the film "Eftyhia," and "Istoria," from the television series "Oi Pantheoi," through which Triantafyllidis became known to a wider audience.
