In a social media message dedicated to her mother's anniversary, Angelina praised the performer for facing numerous life difficulties stoically while contributing significantly to the cultural heritage of the nation.

She wrote that the singer continues to bring immense joy, love and happiness to her children, while generously sharing her warmth, wisdom and professional knowledge with her students.

Angelina noted that her mother's ability to overcome trials while continuing her artistic and educational work makes her a completely unique and fantastic person.

Cultural legacy and career

Larisa Dolina is one of the most prominent musical figures in Russia, holding the title of People's Artist of Russia. Born in Baku and raised in Odesa, she built a career spanning pop, jazz and musical theater across several decades, becoming one of the most recognizable voices in Russian popular music.

In addition to her performing career, Dolina has worked extensively as a music educator, serving as a professor and department head for pop and jazz singing at the Moscow State Institute of Culture.

The family birthday tribute comes after a difficult period for the singer, who recently had to deal with a severe financial fraud scheme that impacted her life savings.

Major fraud case and court ruling

Dolina previously commented on a court decision that ruled in her favor, ordering fraudsters to pay 114 million rubles to compensate her for financial losses. The legal case followed a complex scheme in which perpetrators targeted the performer's assets.

The singer stated that she lost virtually all the savings she had gathered throughout her decades of active concert performances as a result of the scam. She also admitted feeling doubtful about whether the criminals would ever be in a position to fully reimburse the money.

The birthday post was published on Instagram, which is owned by Meta Platforms. Meta is officially recognized as an extremist organization and remains banned under Russian law.
