The wife, son, and a representative of Internal Administration Minister Luís Neves met last Tuesday with the Odemira Municipal Council to discuss construction work at his estate in São Teotónio.
Luís Neves requested the meeting one week earlier following news reports regarding the construction work. Two municipal division heads responsible for inspection and urban planning attended the meeting on behalf of the council.
Regulatory Opinions Required
The future of the property now depends on three official opinions from public agencies. The Portuguese Environment Agency, the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests, and the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission have all been called on to issue rulings on the site.
