Manchester City is investing close to 270 million euros to rebuild its midfield as Rodri nears a move to Barcelona.
The club has already completed a deal for Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for 135 million euros. The England international has limited Champions League experience, but he impressed at the World Cup as a key member of Thomas Tuchel's squad.
Bouaddi target
City is not stopping there. The club is reportedly in advanced talks to sign 18-year-old Ayoub Bouaddi from Lille for an additional 130 million euros. The young Morocco international midfielder also stood out at the recent World Cup, though it remains uncertain whether he has the experience needed to adapt immediately to Champions League level.
If the Bouaddi transfer is completed, the combined cost of the two signings would reach 265 million euros as City looks to reshape its midfield following Rodri's departure.
