Electricity company Pluz Energia has announced a new series of scheduled power cuts affecting thousands of residents across several districts in Lima and Callao from September 30 to October 3.
The utility company stated that the temporary suspension of service is necessary to carry out maintenance work and expansion of the electrical grid across the capital and port city.
Pluz Energia asked the population to take the necessary precautions and pay attention to the scheduled outage times corresponding to their district and residential area.
Lima, the capital of Peru, and the adjacent port municipality of Callao form a contiguous metropolitan region serving over 10 million inhabitants. Power distribution in the northern sector of the metropolis is operated by Pluz Energia, which manages the medium and high-voltage grid supplying residential, commercial, and industrial zones.
