Allo, an online marketplace in Ukraine, has opened sales of the entire Redmi Note 17 lineup from Xiaomi, comprising the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G, Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 17 5G and Redmi Note 17. The four phones went on sale in Ukraine on September 16, 2026.
The new generation was built around what the company calls a "Built for Years" concept, aiming not for the highest specifications at the moment of purchase but for a phone meant to last several years of daily use. The lineup is topped by the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, the first Pro Max model in the Redmi Note series' history.
Durability testing and certification
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G became the first smartphones in the industry to receive a five-star TÜV SÜD certification, according to the company. TÜV SÜD is a German technical inspection and certification organisation whose testing standards are widely used to verify product durability.
The two Pro models were tested with drops from a height of up to 3 metres onto a granite surface and submersion to a depth of 2 metres for as long as 72 hours, carrying IP66 and IP68 water and dust resistance ratings. Their screens use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a toughened cover glass commonly used on premium smartphones to resist scratches and cracks. The protection is meant to cover everyday situations such as a phone slipping off a table, getting caught in the rain, being handled with wet hands or pulled out of a pocket while walking.
Battery life of up to three days
Battery capacity varies across the range. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G carries a 9,210mAh battery with 100W hypercharging, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G has an 8,340mAh battery with 67W hypercharging, and both the Redmi Note 17 5G and the standard Redmi Note 17 come with 7,700mAh batteries and 45W turbocharging.
According to Xiaomi's internal testing, the battery retains more than 80% of its original capacity after a period equivalent to more than six years of typical use.
Displays, chipset and AI tools
Both Pro models feature 6.83-inch displays with 1.5K resolution and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, which the company says keeps the screen readable outdoors on a sunny day. The Redmi Note 17 5G and Redmi Note 17 have larger, 6.99-inch screens.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, a processor line aimed at handling demanding games, 4K content and heavy multitasking, and the phone can boost volume up to 400%. The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is positioned for smooth performance in everyday tasks.
Google Gemini and Google's Circle to Search feature are available across the whole series, letting users look up information about an object on screen without switching between apps. The Pro Max additionally supports Xiaomi's HyperAI tools for work and creative tasks.
Camera and video features
The series' cameras are tuned for natural-looking everyday scenes and portraits. All four models support simultaneous recording from two cameras at once, and the Pro Max can also record 4K video at 30 frames per second. Both Pro models add a professional video mode, Live Moment support and an AI Creativity Assistant that can remove an unwanted object or glare, or enhance a portrait, directly on the phone without a separate app.

Xiaomi positions the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G as an all-round option for buyers who want a reliable everyday phone with a balance of features and price. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is the top-specced model in the series, aimed at people who travel frequently, shoot and edit content, keep navigation and several apps running at once, and put heavy daily demands on their phone.

All four Redmi Note 17 models are available on the Allo marketplace from September 16, 2026, in a range of colours and memory configurations. Promotional prices start at 9,999 hryvnia, with discounts of up to 3,000 hryvnia depending on the model. Allo describes itself as a marketplace for innovative products, delivering orders to homes, post offices or stores in more than 100 Ukrainian cities.
