Peruvian television personality Rosangela Espinoza sparked pregnancy speculation after sharing an ultrasound image on social media, just hours after fainting during a medical appointment, before clarifying that the footage was part of a fertility preservation treatment rather than a pregnancy.
Espinoza, a longtime cast member of the reality competition show "Esto es Guerra," posted clips from a visit to a specialized clinic showing a medical monitor displaying what looked like an ultrasound scan. The images spread quickly among her followers, many of whom assumed she was expecting a child.
The model soon moved to end the speculation, explaining that her visit to the clinic was part of a process aimed at preserving her fertility. She said she was currently preparing to undergo an egg-freezing procedure and was continuing with follow-up consultations ahead of it.
Fainting episode tied to needle phobia
The clarification followed an incident the previous Tuesday, when Espinoza fainted during one of her medical consultations. She said the episode happened because of her fear of needles, a phobia that resurfaced during her recent appointments as part of the treatment process.
