Pablo Milanés tribute at Casa de Teatro
Casa de Teatro will host a tribute concert dedicated to the late Cuban singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés on Friday at 9:00 p.m., with tickets available at the venue.
Cuban troubadours Pepé and Yosva Bernal will present a retrospective of 30 of the most popular songs composed by Milanés throughout his career.
Organizers stated that the evening offers audiences a chance to reconnect in an intimate format with melodies that form part of the musical memory of several generations.
Milanés was an essential figure of Nueva Trova cubana, an influential movement of post-revolutionary Cuban music that combined folk traditions with poetic and socially conscious lyrics.
Founded in 1974 in Santo Domingo, Casa de Teatro is an established independent cultural center renowned for hosting live music performances, theatrical productions, and artistic exhibitions.
