Russian pop singer Avraam Russo declared that Moscow possesses distinct advantages over major international capitals including Paris, New York, London and Berlin.
In an interview published by urban lifestyle magazine Moskvich Mag, the performer described the Russian capital as a remarkably beautiful, expansive and powerful city that stands out for both its culture and social scene.
Russo remarked that while he is not a dedicated partygoer, Moscow's nightlife and social scene could easily outperform top global destinations. He emphasized that unlike other capitals where visitors quickly exhaust the main attractions after viewing two or three sights, Moscow offers an endless variety of places to explore, allowing residents to live there for an entire lifetime while continuously discovering new details.
Russo, a well-known pop artist who rose to prominence in Russia in the early 2000s, added that these qualities place the Russian capital among the top ten most interesting cities in the world. Moskvich Mag is a Moscow-focused digital publication covering local news, architecture, lifestyle and urban culture.
Spiritual bond and cultural attractions
The singer recalled falling in love with the metropolis during his very first visit, when he first saw St. Basil's Cathedral. The iconic 16th-century landmark, located in Red Square at the heart of Moscow, left a lasting impression that Russo said has remained with him to this day.
Russo stated that Moscow is the place that gave him everything, explaining that the city provided not only his musical career but also deep spirituality and the genuine affection of the public. He noted that he found opportunities and fulfillment he never expected to experience in life, adding that he expresses gratitude to God every year for guiding him to the city.
Growing comparisons with Western capitals
Russo's comments reflect a broader trend of Russian entertainment figures praising the capital's infrastructure and cleanliness over Western hubs. Earlier, Russian hip-hop artist L'One, whose real name is Levan Goroziya, similarly stated that Moscow offers greater comfort and is significantly cleaner than Paris and other foreign destinations.
