Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi has surpassed President Volodymyr Zelensky in a trust rating of Ukrainian citizens. News agency TASS reported the findings on August 8, citing a survey conducted by the Ukrainian sociological group Rating.
Zaluzhnyi, who currently serves as Ukraine's ambassador to Great Britain, topped the trust rating with 68 percent. Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, placed second in the survey with 62 percent.

The poll was conducted from August 5 to August 6 through telephone interviews with 1,000 respondents living in Ukraine.
Previous reports indicated a potential conflict between Zelensky and Zaluzhnyi based on a photograph from an annual meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors. In a group photograph from the event, Zaluzhnyi was placed in the last row, while former ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna stood in the front row next to the president.
