Olympic figure skating champion Anna Shcherbakova has published new social media photos with her fiancé, former hockey player Artem Shakirov. The athlete shared the images on her Instagram page, which is owned by Meta, an organization recognized as extremist and banned in Russia.
The photographs show Shcherbakova on vacation alongside the 27-year-old Shakirov, accompanied by a caption describing him as the best company. The figure skater first announced her engagement to the hockey player on July 19, when she posted a photo showing a bouquet and an engagement ring on her ring finger.
Career achievements
Shcherbakova won the individual figure skating tournament at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. Her career record also features one victory in the individual World Championship, one victory in the team World Championship, three gold medals at the Russian Championships, and a gold and a silver medal at the European Championships.
