The Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies, known by its Spanish acronym AEI, is a major trade organisation representing property professionals in the Dominican Republic. Santo Domingo, the nation's capital, serves as the economic hub for the Caribbean country's expanding real estate market.

International speakers and key topics

A panel of international and national specialists delivered presentations on key issues shaping the global property sector. Sessions covered leadership, sales strategies, technological innovation, consumer behaviour, corporate transformation and new industry trends.

Featured international speakers included Suz Amaro, Jürgen Klaric, Jorge Rosas, Sofía Stamateas, Tony Hanna, Yermys Peña and Isaías Medina. The experts shared tools and practical insights to help professionals address the challenges of an increasingly competitive market.

Partnership with Orlando realtors

During the event, AEI President Alberto Bogaert signed a formal collaboration agreement with the Realtors Association of Orlando, Florida. The accord establishes a framework to strengthen ties and generate professional development opportunities between the two organisations.

A visiting delegation of Orlando realtors attended the convention in person. Their presence highlighted growing international interest in Dominican real estate and the push to build operational bridges between both markets.

The agreement provides for joint training programs, knowledge sharing, the promotion of best practices and new business creation between real estate professionals in the Dominican Republic and the United States.

Bogaert said the congress demonstrated that the Dominican real estate sector was ready to evolve, compete and project itself internationally. He noted that strong participation, speaker quality and foreign attendance confirmed the event was becoming a regional benchmark.

Ethics award from national association

The National Association of Realtors, a prominent trade body based in the United States, presented an award to Bogaert during the proceedings. The award recognised his commitment to professional ethics and standards in real estate practice.

Claudia Díaz, ambassador for the National Association of Realtors to the Dominican Republic, presented the award to the AEI president. The presentation represented significant international backing for the AEI's push toward transparency and professionalisation.

AEI officials said ethical practice remained a central pillar for real estate brokerage, particularly given the strong growth experienced across the domestic property sector in recent years.
