Max Gilardi Reverses Euthanasia Plans After Fan Appeals

Popular YouTube blogger and animator Max Gilardi, known under the pseudonym HotDiggedyDemon, has reversed his decision to undergo euthanasia after receiving emotional appeals from fans and family, according to news portal Dexerto.

Gilardi originally announced his plans to undergo the procedure on his channel on August 1. He shared that he was diagnosed in 2024 with fibromyalgia, a chronic condition that causes pain in muscles, ligaments, and tendons alongside severe fatigue and poor sleep. The blogger noted that the illness also causes him cognitive problems and increased salivation.

However, Gilardi stated during a live stream the following day that he had changed his mind and would not undergo euthanasia. He explained that his decision was influenced by the intense reaction of fans and people close to him. Fans wrote to him en masse asking him not to end his life, while a friend begged him in tears via voice message not to undergo the procedure. The animator's brother-in-law even called police to his home out of fear for his condition.

Health Condition Unchanged

Gilardi stressed that refusing euthanasia does not mean he has recovered. He added that nothing had actually changed, but said that maybe someday he would feel better.

Earlier, 49-year-old TikTok blogger Rebecca Luna from Canada underwent euthanasia after sharing videos documenting her struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
