Olympiacos is heading toward a sellout crowd at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium for its opening match of the Europa League League Phase against Jagiellonia of Poland, with fewer than 1,500 tickets left after sponsors returned unused allocations.
The Greek club, based in the port city of Piraeus, said the tickets that remain are spread across several price categories for the match, which kicks off on Wednesday, September 16 at 22:00 local time. It will be the first fixture of the League Phase, the new format UEFA introduced for the Europa League in which every club plays a set of opponents in a single table rather than in smaller groups, before the top teams advance to the knockout rounds.
How to buy tickets
Olympiacos said tickets will be sold only online, through www.olympiacos.org. The club reminded supporters that tickets bought through any platform other than its official channels, www.olympiacos.org and www.more.com, will not be accepted at the stadium.
Entry to the ground will be possible only through the Gov.gr Wallet app, the Greek government's digital identity platform. Buyers will receive an email containing a QR code for each ticket, which must be added to the app before matchday.
For children under 15 without their own TaxisNet personal codes, a parent or guardian must first add their own ticket to their Gov.gr Wallet before adding the child's. Foreign nationals without TaxisNet credentials can still buy through the club's platform using a passport, selecting the "Non Greek Resident" option and scanning their passport by NFC once the wallet app is set up. Olympiacos said foreign supporters unable to complete the process online can instead visit the ticket offices at Gate 25 of the Karaiskakis Stadium on the day of the match, between 17:30 and 20:30.
Identity checks and ticket rules
Olympiacos said that under a new law, identity checks will be carried out at the turnstiles, and supporters must arrive with identification documents matching the details on their ticket. Fans have also been told to personalise their tickets before arriving at the stadium, and the club stressed that ticket cancellations or changes will not be possible once purchased.
Ticket prices for the match range from 25, 30, 40 and 50 euros up to 70 euros for standard categories, with VIP seats priced at 150 euros and VVIP seats at 200 euros.
Season ticket transfers
Season ticket holders, and only season ticket holders, will be able to transfer their tickets to another supporter, provided the transfer request is accepted at least four hours before kickoff. Individual match tickets cannot be transferred under any circumstances, the club said.
Olympiacos noted several restrictions linked to limitations in the state-run Gov.gr Wallet system. Personalised children's season tickets cannot be transferred, nor can personalised season tickets belonging to foreign nationals, and adult season tickets cannot be transferred to a minor. The club also said that a season ticket holder who has already personalised one season ticket cannot personalise a different one, even after transferring the first. Olympiacos said it is waiting for the state platform to correct these limitations and said the club bears no responsibility for any malfunctions or restrictions in the Gov.gr Wallet system during the transfer process.
Fan card requirement
Olympiacos also reminded supporters that a basic condition for buying a ticket is holding either the club's 20-euro collectible fan card or its 15-euro fan card for the 2026/27 season. The club said the money raised goes in full to the amateur section of the club, Ερασιτέχνης Ολυμπιακός, to help fund its teams across other sports.
The fan card can be bought through www.olympiacossfp.gr, and Olympiacos said supporters seeking more information can contact the amateur club section by phone or email.
Jagiellonia Bialystok, the visiting side, is a Polish club competing in the inaugural round of fixtures in this season's Europa League League Phase. The match at the Karaiskakis Stadium, Olympiacos's home ground in Piraeus, kicks off on Wednesday at 22:00.
