White cabbage prices in Russia dropped by 3.3 percent from July 28 to August 3, according to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. The ministry published the data in its Overview of the Current Price Situation report on its website.

Potato prices fell by 2.5 percent during the same period. Tomato prices decreased by 2.2 percent, carrots fell by 2.3 percent, table beets dropped by 1.4 percent, and onions declined by 1 percent. Meanwhile, cucumber prices rose by 0.8 percent, while apples and bananas both increased by 0.7 percent.
Food Prices and Inflation Trends
Other grocery items also recorded price increases. Buckwheat groats rose by 1.4 percent, granulated sugar went up by 1.2 percent, and pork increased by half a percent.
Annual inflation in Russia reached 6.11 percent from July 28 to August 3. The Bank of Russia raised its 2026 inflation forecast range to between 6 and 7 percent, up from its April projection of 4.5 to 5.5 percent.
