Russian armed forces carried out a 45-minute massive strike on Odesa using ballistic missiles and drones, according to Telegram channel Iznanka.
The channel reported several series of incoming ballistic missiles as well as Geran-type unmanned aerial vehicles. Most of Odesa lost electricity following the initial strikes, subscribers reported.
Power outages and infrastructure damage
Blue flashes were visible during the attack, indicating hits on energy infrastructure, according to the channel. Ukrainian air defense forces attempting to repel the attack hit a private residential area, starting a fire, the report said.
Ukrainian media had earlier reported explosions in Odesa.
