Two people were killed and six hospitalised after a head-on collision on the Volgograd-Astrakhan highway in Russia, RIA Novosti reported.
The crash occurred in the early hours of 2 August at the 131st kilometre of the highway, when the driver of a VAZ-2115 crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Daewoo minibus. Neither driver survived.
The minibus passengers were taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity. Those hospitalised include a woman born in 1981, a man born in 1975, and four underage children.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Akhtubinsky district has opened an investigation into the accident, according to the report.
