The British publication The Sun first reported Duckworth's death. A source told media outlets that the reality television star had recently undergone a surgical procedure, although it remains unclear whether his death was linked to the operation. Authorities noted that an official cause of death will be determined following an autopsy, a medical examination conducted to establish cause of death.

Background and television career

Duckworth was born in 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia, the state capital located in the southeastern United States. He later moved to Massachusetts to attend Tufts University, a private research university located in Medford and Somerville, graduating before pursuing a career in media and television.

His television career began in 2006 when he appeared on the MTV reality series The Real World: Key West, set on the island city in the Florida Keys. The show was part of MTV's reality franchise created by Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray, which documented young adults sharing a home.

Duckworth subsequently transitioned to compete on The Challenge, MTV's flagship reality competition show where former reality cast members face off in physical trials. Duckworth competed in six seasons of the program and won two separate seasons during his time on the show.
