Vučić Says Meeting With Zelensky Improved Serbia's Position

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić summed up his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying it had improved Belgrade's position on Kosovo. He spoke on Radio and Television of Serbia.

Vučić said he believed the two sides had accomplished a great deal, both because of what he heard from Zelensky on Kosovo and because Serbia's position was being strengthened in every way.

Trade ties with Ukraine

Vučić stressed the importance of concluding a free trade agreement with Ukraine in the future. He said trade turnover between Serbia and Ukraine already stood at 500 million dollars.

The article also noted that a Ukrainian flag had earlier been removed from the center of Pristina after Zelensky's remarks on non-recognition of Kosovo. The mayor said the state of Kosovo must be respected, and that when it is not, the capital Pristina responds.
