Brazilian digital bank Inter has permanently expanded its customer referral program, granting 1,000 Loop reward points for every friend referred who opens an account.
Under the updated terms of the Indique e Ganhe program, new customers who open an account using a referral code continue to receive 200 Loop points upon completion.
The financial institution previously offered the 1,000-point referral reward as part of a temporary promotion that ended on June 10. Inter decided to make the higher referral bonus permanent to increase earning options for its account holders.
Inter Loop loyalty program rewards
Loop is the benefits program operated by Inter, accessible to customers using the bank's national credit card or the Inter Global Account. Joining the rewards system is free and can be activated directly through the company's mobile application, known as the Super App.
Points accumulated in the Loop system can be redeemed for a variety of financial and lifestyle rewards. Options include credit card statement discounts, commercial dollar exchanges, investment deposits into the bank's Meu Porquinho savings tool, direct cash deposits into checking accounts, and extra cashback on purchases.
Members can also use points for direct purchases, airline miles through Azul Brazilian Airlines, cashback points at the Inter Shop marketplace, and VIP airport lounge access at São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport, Afonso Pena International Airport in Curitiba, and Tancredo Neves International Airport in Confins serving Belo Horizonte.
The financial institution reported in its latest quarterly report that more than 19 million Inter clients already participate in the Loop rewards program.
Steps to participate in Inter referral program
Existing customers can access the Indique e Ganhe feature in four steps within the Super App. Users open the application, search for Indique e Ganhe, click on the option to refer friends or copy their unique referral code, and share it across social networks or messaging channels.
Once the invited friend completes their account setup, the bonus points are credited. Inter stated that the extra points become available within up to one business day: 1,000 Loop points for the referring customer and 200 points for the new account holder.
Customers can track the progress of their invitations on the Indique e Ganhe screen by clicking the arrow next to their referral list, which displays the status of each referral. People who receive a referral code from a friend can paste the code on the Indique e Ganhe screen during the account creation process.
