A Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 fighter jet crashed in the Odesa region on Monday, the Ukrainian Air Force announced. The pilot ejected in time and was taken to hospital.
According to an update posted on Telegram, the MiG-29 was carrying out a mission to strike Russian military positions when a malfunction occurred during a missile launch. The malfunction caused a fire to break out, and the pilot lost control of the aircraft.
The Ukrainian Air Force said the pilot ejected using the aircraft's ejection mechanism. He was located and taken to hospital, the Air Force added.
