Uraldronzavod general director Vladimir Tkachuk is in stable condition after his car was blown up near Yekaterinburg on August 4, according to TASS. TASS reported there is no threat to his life.

The explosion occurred in the evening in the village of Bolshoy Istok in the Sysertsky District, and the incident was captured on video. An explosive device planted under Tkachuk's Mercedes-Benz detonated, causing the vehicle to completely burn down.

Tkachuk's driver-guard became a victim of the blast while standing in front of the vehicle. Tkachuk survived because he was standing slightly further away, though he was initially hospitalized in serious condition and placed in intensive care.

Investigation and drone production

Law enforcement authorities opened a criminal case into attempted murder committed in a universally dangerous manner. The 35-year-old Tkachuk is the designer of the Upyr drones produced by Uraldronzavod and also authors the Turned on War channel.
