The United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week gathers world leaders and international delegations in New York each September to deliberate on global diplomacy and security. António Guterres, a former prime minister of Portugal, has served as UN Secretary-General since 2017.

Mitsotakis begins his official engagements on Wednesday morning with a bilateral meeting with President of Senegal Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye. Senegal, a West African republic, maintains growing diplomatic connections across Mediterranean and European affairs.
Following his talks with the Senegalese leader, Mitsotakis will meet with Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney. Canada, a member of the Group of Seven industrial nations, shares trade and security links with European partners.
At 10:00 AM on Wednesday, the prime minister will attend the inaugural event of the Ocean Eye Global Alliance, an international initiative dedicated to ocean conservation and environmental monitoring of marine ecosystems. Later in the morning, Mitsotakis will deliver an address at a gathering for members of the Greek diaspora in New York, home to one of the largest Greek expatriate communities outside Greece.
On Wednesday afternoon, Mitsotakis will conclude his first day of bilateral talks by meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. Armenia, located in the South Caucasus, maintains historic diplomatic and defense relationships with Greece.

Following the investment roundtable, Mitsotakis will take part in a meeting of the Europe-Gulf Forum. The event is co-organized by Antenna Group, an international media and entertainment organization based in Greece, and the Atlantic Council, a Washington-based international affairs think tank focused on transatlantic relations.
At noon on Thursday, the prime minister will meet with representatives of international and American Jewish organizations. Greece has established strategic diplomatic ties and cooperative frameworks with regional partners and international advocacy groups.
UN Address and World Bank AI Discussion
At 3:00 PM on Thursday, Mitsotakis will participate in a public discussion with World Bank President Ajay Banga. The session is hosted by Columbia University in New York City under the theme AI + Culture, examining the intersection of artificial intelligence and cultural heritage.
Ajay Banga, an Indian-American business executive who assumed leadership of the World Bank in 2023, heads the Washington-based international financial institution. Columbia University is an Ivy League research institution known for its global policy forums.
Following the university event, Mitsotakis will meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at 5:10 PM before stepping to the podium to address the General Assembly during its evening session.
Friday Bloomberg Interview and Moldova Talks
Mitsotakis will conclude his visit to New York on Friday with two scheduled events. At 8:15 AM, the prime minister will give a live interview on Bloomberg Television, a global financial news network broadcasting international business and economic policy news.
At noon on Friday, Mitsotakis will hold his final bilateral meeting of the trip with Prime Minister of Moldova Vasile Tofan. Moldova, an Eastern European republic situated between Romania and Ukraine, continues to pursue closer diplomatic alignment with European Union member states.
