The relief initiative will gather 23 musical artists in the nation's capital this Sunday to help rebuild communities devastated by the tremor that struck several regions on Monday, August 10. Singer Andy Rivera is among the performers participating in the fundraising effort.

Organisers reported that members of the public have contributed more than 21,000 individual donations so far. The event will take place at Vive Claro, a major entertainment venue in Bogota with an expected capacity for about 40,000 spectators.

Luz Angela Castro, the general director of event organiser Ocesa Colombia, told news agency EFE that their objective was to unite their voices, hands, and expertise to raise funds and rebuild the homes of Colombians whose living conditions were affected by the August 10 earthquake.

Artist Lineup and Ticket Donations

Confirmed performers include Spanish singer Miguel Bose alongside prominent Colombian artists Sebastian Yatra and Karol G, who will deliver a performance via live streaming. Karol G's charitable organization, Fundación Con Cora, is supporting the initiative alongside sponsoring companies from the entertainment industry.

The extensive roster of participating artists also features salsa group Grupo Niche, urban singer Nanpa Basico, pop singer-songwriter Andres Cepeda, Beele, Bonka, speaker Daniel Habif, Eladio Carrion, Galy Galiano, Hamilton, Juan Duque, Juliana, Laura Perez, Maisak, Manu, Manuel Medrano, Pedro Capo, and Timo.

Castro confirmed that ticket sales remain open and that space is available for people to continue donating and redeeming an entry ticket for the concert. Online contributions are being processed through the Ticketmaster Colombia platform.

Donation amounts start from 100,000 Colombian pesos, or approximately $32, though pricing varies depending on seating location within the venue. Castro explained that attendees are not purchasing a standard ticket, but rather donating their participation to see a concert, with all proceeds directly allocated to Presentes Corporacion, an entity dedicated to rebuilding homes and infrastructure damaged by natural disasters.

Earthquake Impact and Reconstruction Efforts

The magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck on August 10 with its epicenter located in the town of San Jose del Palmar. The municipality sits in the forested western department of Choco, near the borders with the departments of Valle del Cauca and Risaralda.

Reports regarding the total death toll from the disaster remain conflicting. Colombia's National Institute of Legal Medicine reported that its morgue facilities have received 312 bodies of victims following the quake.

However, Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella lowered the official death toll to 289 during a national address broadcast on Monday.
