Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed the country's ambassadors to four nations, according to documents released on August 6. The decrees published on the website of the head of state do not specify a reason for the dismissals.
Under the decrees, Vasyl Kyrylych was removed from his post as ambassador to Croatia, Volodymyr Shkurov as ambassador to Albania, Oleh Herasymenko as ambassador to Montenegro, and Markiian Chuchuk as ambassador to Pakistan.
Diplomatic reshuffle
The moves follow earlier changes on August 3, when Zelenskyy dismissed Vadym Omelchenko from his post as ambassador to France and concurrent permanent representative of Ukraine to UNESCO. On the same day, Zelenskyy appointed Viktoriia Lialina-Boiko as Ukraine's permanent representative to UNESCO.
Zelenskyy also previously dismissed several other ambassadors, including envoys to the United States, Tunisia, Libya, Austria, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore and Brunei. A meeting of the heads of Ukraine's foreign diplomatic missions took place in Kyiv on August 3.
